Survey and Interview Insights
The recorded audio from the interviews was transcribed and used as codes to carry out affinity mapping, as the next step.
Consumers lack awareness about recyclability, leading to improper disposal and increased contamination of recycling streams.
The inclination to donate is impeded by the absence of reliable and trustworthy avenues for charitable contributions, exacerbating waste buildup and constraining the redistribution of usable items.
Users frequently forget garbage collection days, resulting in waste left in public areas, attracting pests and creating health hazards.
Product packaging often fails to provide comprehensive and understandable disposal instructions, resulting in confusion among consumers and acting as a deterrent to the adoption of conscious waste disposal practices.

What I Learnt
I gained insight into the significance of conducting user research and competitive analysis, to accurately understand user needs and market dynamics. It highlighted the importance of moving beyond initial assumptions to uncover valuable opportunities.
Expanding my skills, I conducted affinity mapping sessions, prioritized features using the MOSCOW method, and meticulously crafted a detailed site map, all of which aided in organizing information effectively and ensuring alignment with project goals.
